Oppenheimer Triumphs At The 96th Academy Awards
The 96th Oscars went with the flow of a number of previous annual film industry awards and introduced no surprises. Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer having thirteen nominations triumphed with seven wins, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor in both Leading and Supporting Role, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing and Best Original Score.
Cillian Murphy was honored with the Oscar for his main role in Oppenheimer as well as his starring partner Robert Downey Jr. for a supporting role. Emma Stone has beaten her other award-worthy rivals and accepted the Oscar for the Best Actress in a Leading role for her outstanding performance in Poor Things. Da'Vine Joy Randolph swept the Oscar for her supporting role in The Holdovers.
The Zone of Interest became the Best International Feature, 20 Days in Mariupol - Best Documentary Feature Film, and The Boy And The Heron - Best Animated Feature Film.
Original Screenplay Oscar went to Anatomy of a Fall, while Adapted Screenplay Oscar - to American Fiction.
