Oppenheimer Continues Snatching Awards: Critics Choice Awards 2024 Is No Exception

After last week's Golden Globes, yesterday it was time for Critics Choice Awards 2024 run by the American-Canadian Critics Choice Association. The trend set by the Golden Globes continues its snowball effect, making Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer to expand its bucket of the wins. This time it received even eight awards, including for the best picture, best director and best supporting actor (Robert Downey Jr.).

The only suprise was in the best actor category, which honored Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers) instead of the Oppenheimer's star Cillian Murphy. The best actress award was handed to Emma Stone (Poor Things), leaving no surprises here.

Barbie was more fortunate in Critics Choice Awards to receive six awards, including best comedy and the lovely Ken's best song (I'm Just Ken.)

Television part of the awards was almost identical to those of Golden Globes, with Succession, The Bear and Beef dominating the category wins.
