Key Victories Of Emilia Perez, The Brutalist And Shogun At Golden Globes 2025
The season of filmmaking recognition finally started last night with the 82nd ceremony of Golden Globe Awards where the most lucky in feature film categories were The Brutalist and Emilia Perez, the only ones to snatch multiple wins.
Emilia Perez became a biggest winner with four awards: Best film - musical or comedy, Best non-English language film, Best supporting actress (Zoe Saldaña), and Best original song.
Meanwhile The Brutalist ended with three, however, in the key categories: Best film - drama, Best director (Brady Corbet), and Best actor - drama (Adrien Brody).
Demi Moore has been acknowledged for her performance in The Substance as the Best actress - musical or comedy. Brazilian actress Fernanda Torres was a winner of the same title in drama category (I'm Still Here), becoming the first Brazilian to win at Golden Globes. Sebastian Stan received the Best actor - musical or comedy award for his role in A Different Man. The actor was also nominated in the Best actor - drama category for portraying young Donald Trump in The Apprentice. After his success in 2024 when handed the Best actor in TV series - drama Golden Globe for his exceptional impersonation of Roman Roy in Succession, Kieran Culkin continued his lucky strike by winning the Best supporting actor Golden Globe for his performance in A Real Pain.

Baby Reindeer was recognized as the Best TV limited series, and its actress Jessica Gunning won the Best supporting actress - TV award.
This year Hacks has beaten its rivals in the Best TV series - comedy or musical category, also bringing Golden Globe for The Best actress in the category for the show's star Jean Smart. However, nobody could beat Jeremy Allen White third year in a row in the Best actor - comedy or musical category for his stunning performance in The Bear.
Two great actors have won in the Best TV actor and actress - limited series category: Colin Farrell for The Penguin and Jodie Foster for True Detectives: Night Country.
