Golden Globes 2023 Distinguished The Fabelmans And The Banshees Of Inisherin

The season of annual cinema awards is officially open. Last night the 80th Golden Globe Awards have announced their winners in the finally back live TV ceremony, which didn't happen last year.

The Fabelmans, an acclaimed new semi-autobiographic drama by Steven Spilberg, has won big becoming the best picture in drama category and bringing the best director award to Steven Spilberg himself. Meanwhile Martin McDonagh's The Banshees of Inisherin won the Golden Globe as the best picture (musical/comedy) with Colin Farrell getting the award as the best actor in the same mentioned category as well as Martin McDonagh - for the best motion picture screenplay.

Cate Blanchett received the best actress award in drama category for playing one of the greatest female composer-conductors in Tár, and Austin Butler - the best actor award for featuring Elvis Prestey in Elvis. Michelle Yeoh was handed the best actress award in musical/comedy category for her incredible performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio became the best animated picture, Argentina, 1985 - the best non-English language picture.

House of the Dragon was named the best drama series, Abbot Elementary - the best musical/comedy series, and The White Lotus (season 2) - the best limited TV series.
