March Elates The Mood With New Comedies
Spring not only drags the nature from hibernation. It seems that film industry has also shaken off the residue of winter and is ready to present an incredible number of new movies for screening. Forty-five jolly new releases in balance with all major genres await film lovers in March. Overwhelmed by warm spring emotions we decided to overview upcoming comedies first. There are even nine of them to select from:
Director: Onur Tukel Written by: Onur Tukel Starring: Sandra Oh, Anne Heche, Alicia Silverstone, Craig Bierko, Dylan Baker Plot Synopsis: Wealthy wine lover Veronica Salt (Sandra Oh) and struggling outsider artist Ashley Chambers (Anne Heche) were close in college, but haven't seen each other since. When they find themselves attending the same glitzy birthday party, verbal barbs lead to fisticuffs and an all-out brawl that will keep these two locked in combat for years to come. Outrageous, hilarious, and action-packed, writer-director Onur Tukel's (Applesauce, Summer of Blood, Richard's Wedding) Catfight is a jet-black comedy about two bitter rivals whose grudge match spans a lifetime.
Director: Jeffrey Blitz Written by: Jay Duplass, Mark Duplass Starring: Anna Kendrick, Craig Robinson, June Squibb, Lisa Kudrow, Stephen Merchant, Tony Revolori Plot Synopsis: Ex-maid of honor Eloise (Anna Kendrick) - having been relieved of her duties after being unceremoniously dumped by the best man via text - decides to hold her head up high and attend her oldest friend's wedding anyway. She finds herself seated at the 'random' table in the back of the ballroom with a disparate group of strangers, most of whom should have known to just send regrets (but not before sending something nice off the registry). As everyone's secrets are revealed, Eloise learns a thing or two from the denizens of Table 19. Friendships - and even a little romance - can happen under the most unlikely circumstances.

As she reflects upon her accomplishments, is suddenly inspired to engage a young local writer, Anne Sherman (Amanda Seyfried), to pen her life's story. When the initial result doesn't meet Harriet's high expectations, she sets out to reshape the way she is remembered, with Anne dragged along as an unwilling accomplice. As the journey unfolds, the two women develop a unique bond which alters not only Harriet's legacy, but also Anne's future.
Director: Mark Lamprell Written by: Laurence Malkin, Dean Craig Starring: Xavier Samuel, Kris Marshall, Kevin Bishop Plot Synopsis: A destination wedding in Australia's Blue Mountains goes horribly wrong when Luke gets drunk and falls off a cliff. Our boys, David (Xavier Samuel), Tom (Kris Marshall) and Graham (Kevin Bishop) suddenly find themselves transporting their friend's corpse back to London, where his grieving Aunt is already planning the funeral. When their private jet crash lands in the bush, the boys must carry the body across the treacherous landscape, contend with some fit ravers, a machete wielding mother and a mix up with a giant gold penis, in a race against time to return Luke home. Provided they all survive… intact.

Simmons) who attempts to visit his daughter (Analeigh Tipton) during a layover in LA, only to discover that she's disappeared, is forced to team up with her awkward ex-boyfriend (Emile Hirsch) to find her over the course of one transformative night.
Director: Sydney Freeland Written by: Shelby Farrell Starring: Ashleigh Murray, Rachel Crow, Tim Blake Nelson, Danielle Nicolet, Sasheer Zamata, David Sullivan, Missi Pyle, Arturo Castro, Brooke Markham, Sharon Lawrence Plot Synopsis: Life is moving fast for whip-smart high school senior Deidra (Ashleigh Murray) and her younger sister Laney (Rachel Crow). Graduation looms, their part-time dad is a full-time schemer, and adolescent embarrassments arrive daily - just like the train that rambles noisily through their backyard. But things take a turn for the worse when their mother Marigold (Danielle Nicolet) is thrown in jail for a minor offense after succumbing to the pressure of single parenting. To help her struggling family, Deidra hatches a plan to start robbing trains. Things go off without a hitch, until a railroad detective (Tim Blake Nelson) starts sniffing around.

However, Doug can't resist the siren call of the Highlanders, so he sets course to reclaim his former glory.
Director: Craig Johnson Written by: Daniel Clowes Starring: Woody Harrelson, Laura Dern, Judy Greer, Isabella Amara, Cheryl Hines Plot Synopsis: Harrelson stars as Wilson, a lonely, neurotic and hilariously honest middle-aged misanthrope who reunites with his estranged wife (Laura Dern) and gets a shot at happiness when he learns he has a teenage daughter (Isabella Amara) he has never met. In his uniquely outrageous and slightly twisted way, he sets out to connect with her.
Director: Susan Johnson Written by: Kara Holden, Caren Lissner Starring: Bel Powley, Nathan Lane, Gabriel Byrne, Jason Ritter, William Moseley, Vanessa Bayer, Colin Odonoghue Plot Synopsis: A young woman of high intelligence (Bel Powley) struggles to make sense of the world as it relates to morality, relationships, sex and leaving her apartment.
