The Mad Men Cast: Where Are They Now

With Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks starring in SundanceTV’s upcoming HAP AND LEONARD, you may be wondering what the rest of the acclaimed ad drama’s cast has been up to since the finale. Unsurprisingly, these super-talented actors have had no shortage of work:

Christina Hendricks Hendricks has certainly been busy since saying goodbye to Joan Holloway Harris: She’s appeared on Comedy Central’s Another Period and landed lead roles in Bad Santa 2 with Billy Bob Thornton and Fist Fight with Ice Cube. In HAP AND LEONARD (premiering Mar. 2 on SundanceTV), Hendricks stars as the sultry (and blonde!) ex-wife of Hap Collins (James Purefoy) who she lures into a dangerous get-rich scheme. Michael Kenneth Williams (The Wire) co-stars.

Elisabeth Moss Moss’ first post-Peggy role was the lead in a Broadway revival of The Heidi Chronicles; since then, she’s been tapped for a slew of indie movies, including Queen of the Earth and more recently, The Free World, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

January Jones Jones is in her second season as Melissa Shart on the post-apocalyptic sitcom The Last Man on Earth, playing one of the only humans still alive after a deadly virus overtakes the planet. We certainly can’t imagine the prim and proper Betty Draper in such a realm, but given Jones’s history in sci-fi fare like X-Men: First Class, we’re sure the actress is in her element.

Jessica Paré Mad Men’s final season took place in 1970, after which Paré went back to the ’50s to play Miss Fortini, a hard-hitting boss at an upscale department store in the Oscar-nominated movie Brooklyn, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 2015. She’s currently working on Lovesick, about a down-on-his-luck artist whose ex-girlfriend becomes engaged.

John Slattery When you’re not watching him share the screen with superheroes (a la Ant-Man), you can see Slattery play over-the-top theater director Claude Dumet on Netflix’s satirical reboot Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, which pokes fun at pretty much every teen sex comedy. Slattery also stars in the ripped-from-the-headlines Oscar-contender Spotlight alongside Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton and Rachel McAdams.

Jon Hamm Aside from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Hamm has voiced Herb Overkill in the animated movie Minions, played a hired assassin on Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, and graced Saturday Night Live with his humorous idea for a “Hamm Solo” Star Wars character. In the near future, expect to see him in the political thriller High Wire Act, the screen adaptation of Marjorie Prime, the heist flick Baby Driver, the indie drama Aardvark and the comedy Keeping Up with the Joneses.

Kiernan Shipka You literally watched her grow up in front of your very eyes on Mad Men and now Shipka is graduating into adult roles in movies such as the horror flick February and the teen comedy Fan Girl.

Rich Sommer Like Hamm and Slattery, Sommer appeared in Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. He’s also lent his voice to several episodes of the animated series Regular Show as well as the recently released video game Firewatch. He’s next set to appear in Bob Odenkirk’s noir comedy Girlfriend’s Day and in LBJ, a biopic about President Lyndon B. Johnson.

Vincent Kartheiser In his first big role since Mad Men, Kartheiser turned in Pete Campbell’s tailored business suits for a pair of buckled shoes to play real-life Pilgrim William Bradford in the Mayflower-era miniseries Saints and Strangers. He’s barely recognizable under a scruffy beard.
